Why I’m Running

San Bernardino is home to Benito Barrios. From serving our country as a United States Marine to serving our community on the City Council, Benito has built a life around service. Now, he’s running to bring his experience, commitment, and responsive leadership back to City Hall for the residents of Ward 2.

This campaign is about bringing responsive, experienced representation to San Bernardino City Hall—and there’s a place for you in it.

Benito’s experience includes:

  • Deep roots in San Bernardino and a Pacific High School education
  • Sixteen years of service in the United States Marine Corps
  • Prior service on the San Bernardino City Council from 2013 to 2018
  • Current civic and community leadership in the Inland Empire
